While the year seemed long, always peering through a viewfinder, seeing the world through glass, I'm happy to say, three hundred sixty six photographs later, that my goal was met... 2012 is a year I will never forget.

Winter can be so dreary sometimes. One way we escape the feeling is to make a quick trip to the Botanic Gardens. I don't know the first thing about orchids, but this one was quite unique with it's blooming baskets.

We went for a walk at Washington Park today, only to find a group of needy squirrels. This little fella was about six inches from my foot, begging for some winter food.

This fake surveillance monitor in Macy's amounts to nothing more than a convex mirror; it's not wired to anything, there's no recording device, and the hardware is quite antiquated. Besides -- who steals kitchenware?
